8 Bit and Up Video Games has gone Zero Bit! We are interested in working together with gamers in New York City to help us build a community in the East Village and Lower East Side. Board and card gamers looking for a place to play should feel free to contact us.

This group meets in Manhattan on weekends to play board games and card games. The emphasis is on party games more than Eurogames and we are happy to teach games to newcomers. Games played include Apples to Apples, Scattergories, Uno, and many others. A list of games played is in the Discussions section.  Different games are played at each meetup. Both singles and couples are welcome. Adults of all ages are welcome. Meetups are free and we often meet in pubs and restaurants.

This group is designed to match tabletop game designers with playtesters. The idea is that everyone wins when we play each others prototypes and share our experience. You don't have to be a designer to join. You just have to want to be part of a community that helps games get made.
